Visit of Professor Maksim Iavich at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

Professor Maksim Iavich, Corresponding Member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, visited the Department of Cybersecurity and Cryptology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where he delivered a seminar on post-quantum cryptography.

During the seminar, Professor Iavich presented the Georgian Quantum Laboratory, demonstrating its advanced capabilities, including side-channel attack hardware and remote access functionality. He explained the laboratory’s core features and its role in supporting advanced research and hands-on training in modern cryptographic security.

The seminar emphasized the growing importance of post-quantum cryptography and highlighted how modern laboratory infrastructures enable practical experimentation and international collaboration in cybersecurity.
